System Software

Faster, Easier, and More Powerful Than Ever Before

MAESTRO 8.0 is our latest fitting software for MED-EL cochlear implants. It builds on the complete redesign that we introduced with MAESTRO 7.0. We integrated extensive feedback from audiologists and clinicians in the field to make MAESTRO 8.0 our most powerful and intuitive software ever.

  • Intuitive Workflow
  • Fastest Objective
  • Powerful Fitting Tools

Intuitive Handling

MAESTRO 8.0 is designed to be as accessible and intuitive as possible for both new and experienced clinicians. With a guided workflow, you can easily see recommended tasks. The new session view provides a comprehensive overview of your current fitting session.

Guided Workflow
Suggested tasks are highlighted to help you quickly and easily perform recommended tasks for both intra-operative measures and fitting sessions.

Improved Usability
Enhanced user interface makes it faster and easier to change front-end settings for each map, create progressive maps, increase levels, or perform loudness balancing.

Map-Specific Settings
Set map-specific front-end processing levels, like Strong Wind Noise Reduction for one map and Mild for another.

Patient Editor
Easily set up a new patient or manage patient history, including adding new implants for existing patients.

Design Award 2019

Awarded to the SYNCHRONY System, comprising the SONNET 2 Audio Processor and accessories, SYNCHRONY 2 Cochlear Implant, and MAESTRO 8.0 fitting software.

Session View

Our new session view is a complete dashboard of everything you want to know about a patient’s processors during a fitting session. You can see telemetry for each electrode. It has full bilateral support, and you can add a processor with one click. You can go live with one side or with bilateral and quickly adjust charge levels right in the session view for loudness balancing without opening a map.

Session View

AutoART is the fastest automatic ECAP measuring tool available. With one click, you can perform intra-op ECAP across all 12 electrodes in 90 seconds. During fitting sessions, you can perform a detailed automatic ECAP analysis in just a few minutes. And with the ARTFit algorithm, you can instantly create a profile map based on these FineGrain ECAP objective measures.

Made for Bimodal

Easily perform loudness balancing to a hearing aid in session view. The natural loudness growth of our AGC makes it easy to balance with nearly any hearing aid—without having to refit the hearing aid. And because MED-EL cochlear implants offer more natural pitch-match, timing, and AGC compression ratio, we can provide a much closer match to the acoustic range of the hearing aid.

MAESTRO 8.0 - Powerful Tools

Powerful Tools

With MAESTRO 8.0, we made the workflow intuitive, but we also made advanced fitting tools more powerful and more accessible. MAESTRO 8.0 is packed with powerful tools for clinicians, including Triphasic pulses, integrated eSRT and eABR tasks, and late-latency cortical objective measures.

Triphasic Pulses
This unique pulse shape helps control current spread, which can be especially useful for patients with non-auditory stimulation.

Measure the cochlear microphonics (CoG) as the acoustic response to Electric Acoustic Evoked Potentials during electrode insertion.

eSRT & eABR Measures
Integrated eSRT and eABR tasks allow you to utilize detailed objective measures within the MAESTRO 8.0 interface.

Cortical Responses
Measure late latency response to help confirm if stimulation is generating a response in the auditory center of the brain.
