The MED-EL PromStim System

EventsONLINE
10 April 2024, 14:00 - 14:30, (UTC +2:00)
Giacomo Mandruzzato, MEng, Team Leader, Evoked Potentials, Research & Development
Approximately 10% of cases are “uncertain candidates” that are often excluded from receiving a CI because conventional pre-operative audiological evaluations (like audiometry, imaging, etc.) cannot definitively ascertain the existence and responsiveness of the auditory nerve. This webinar takes a close look at the MED-EL CE-marked PromStim System, a powerful tool for pre-operative screening to achieve more accurate determination of cochlear implant candidacy utilizing objective measures (EABR).

Conductive Hearing Loss in Children: Conventional Hearing Aids or MED-EL Bone Conduction Solutions?

EventsONLINE
25 April 2024, 14:00 - 14:30, (UTC +2:00)
Lic. Natalia Rossi, Clinical Support Specialist, BU VIBRANT
Hearing impairment is common in children and early intervention is necessary to facilitate appropriate development. Among hearing impaired children, the majority suffer from conductive hearing loss. As these types of hearing losses are usually moderate and sometimes unilateral, many of these children might suffer for a long time before their impairment is recognized and a solution is found. Bone conduction devices can provide these children with a stable and reliable solution for their hearing loss at an early stage.
